I started going down to the memory lane, so why not share it here…

I’ve been listening to Jennifer Lopez early music lately. I don’t know why. Then again, do I need to know why? Would that really matter? The fact is, I like listening to her. I have all of her albums till Rebirth back in Finland. I think that album was some of her worst albums, it barely had any good songs. My favorites are On the 6, J.Lo, J to tha Lo: the Remixes and This is me… then. There are so many good songs on each of those albums! Well, here are two songs that I just listened to..

 

 

Back then, I didn’t understand what he was rapping about.. it’s funny. I love the song, and the lyrics of it. I love the beat, too. It has a good message..

Ain’t It Funny

11 years ago this song was my anthem. I never forgot that song but I haven’t listened to it for years either. Ain’t it funny how certain songs come to you when you need them. I needed this song right now.

Besides that, I love the video… I love the way it was made.

 

Dress Inspiration, volume 2

Ever since seeing this dress on Jennifer Lopez in American Idol, I have not been able to get this dress out of my head. It’s some of the most stunning dresses I’ve ever seen! The dress fits her like a glove. I love colors, especially on dresses! I want my dress/clothes to be colorful, something fun, cozy, easy to wear – you get the drift. I guess if I had to think of my style, I think it’d be more laid-back, California style. This dress is just that!

 

 

You see what I mean? A sexy Latina wearing a gorgeous dress that is so colorful, one that accentuates her body so well? Jennifer wasn’t the only Latina wearing this dress, Rosario Dawson wore it too..

Jennifer paired the dress with some Giuseppe Zanotti pumps

The dress is from Salvatore Ferragamo’s spring 2012 collection. The collection features bold and bright colors, floral patterns and form fitting silhouettes. Models walked the runway in flowing dresses draped gracefully. According to an Associated Press report, Ferragamo designer Massimiliano Giornetti was “decidedly  fantasy-driven in the collection.”

Follow the leader

Since last summer’s megahit On The Floor with Pitbull, Jennifer Lopez seems to have found the perfect recipe for making new hits. Well, if it ain’t broke, why try and fix it? Isn’t that what they say? So, she made another song with Pibull, Dance Again, continuing the style of music she started last summer.

 

 

 

The latest song is with Wisin y Yandel, who, like Pibull, started with reggaetton but seem to follow the trend of dance music. The video was uploaded yesterday. She seems to try to follow last summer’s hit with this one as well..

 

Your thoughts?

 

 

Personally, much to my own surprise, I don’t really care for the song. Not after hearing it the first time. It seems a bit… flat. While the free runners seem to be very cool, the video is kind of boring as well. This is just my personal opinion though. I’ve loved J.Lo since her first hit If You Had My Love and love her accent, her judging on idol… I guess you could say she is the exception to my rule.. she’s got that extra something..
