Golden Queen Bee

Last night I dreamed that I hugged Beyonce! Wishful thinking, I know. Strange things happened in my dreams anyways, that’s for another time! In any case, it left me a song playing in my head. This song is not a stranger in this blog – Why don’t you love me. This song is possibly one of the best songs live by Queen Bee, if not the best! I love the energy she brings out when she plays and sings the song. I have a love/hate relationship with Beyonce, some days I can’t stand her, other days I think she is one of the coolest cats out there! I really don’t know what it is about her!!

Being vain

Let’s be a little vain, shall we? I don’t think I have posted anything about shopping or anything of the sort. A girl can be vain sometimes, can she not? I’ve given up on the materialistic “I want” or “I must have this!” but there does live a little shopaholic in me at times. And, well, let’s face ita girl can dream of pretty things every once in awhile! So this post is about… well, shoes!

 

I’m extremely picky when it comes in shoes. I don’t know what that is. When I go to a shoe shop, I look at them and think to myself, that they’re not all that pretty or I could never walk in those heels. What also puts me off is the price of the shoes, most of them are so expensive! Not that I could ever afford these shoes I’m about to show you..

 

I look for something out of the ordinary, something unique, what not everyone has. Usually I also go for something that comfortable.

When I saw these Giuseppe Zanotti wedge sneakers that Ciara is wearing, I thought to myself, I really love these shoes! They are very pretty to me. I know I won’t be able to afford these shoes. Maybe I will come across a some sort of replica of them, since they seem to be quite popular..

These Isabel Marant sneakers are to die for! I loved them the first time saw them on Beyonce‘s Love on Top music video! I couldn’t even concentrate on the video because my focus went on the shoes! If I would really want something materialistic, it would definitely be these shoes!!

I saw these shoes, and even though I’m all about comfort, I would love to have these shoes! I’m especially picky when it comes to heels! These are something completely different and something I haven’t seen before! When I started to look for them, I found out that they were designed by the Brazilian designer, Andreia Chaves. On my searches, I came across this article, where they had even more gorgeous designs by him! Take a look below.

 

These shoes are work of art! It’s like architecture in shoes, that’s how it seems to me. Ok, maybe I wouldn’t want to wear them – I wouldn’t even know how to wear them! They still are gorgeous in their very uncomfortable own way!

Why don’t you love me?

This particular song keeps playing in my head over and over and over again. When all else fails, music always lifts me up. It’s never left me hanging, it is always there. This song is also better live, the original album version is kind of..meh. The band makes it come alive. I’ve always loved Beyonce’s band! They just have a groove to it..

 

Controversy

While I have a love-hate relationship with Beyonce, I can’t deny that she isn’t a great entertainer. Recently Beyonce’s mom, Tina Knowles, divorced her father Matthew Knowles. Beyonce and Matthew’s roads separated as she wanted a new manager. There is even speculation of Beyonce’s pregnancy, if she’s faking it or not. The latest news in the Knowles family is that Matthew wanted to pay his mistress to not to put his name on their lovechild’s certificate. Matthew allegedly went even so far as to ask the baby to be brought up by Beyonce. Of course she said no! Could this have been the reason why Tina divorced him, and Beyonce fired him as her manager? Is this all true? Who knows..

I don’t like the way Beyonce behaves around media. I don’t like how commercial her music has become. I get the feeling that she does it all for fame and fortune, which shows in everything that she does. However, I’m fascinated by her. Occasionally, I do like to listen to her songs. I love Destiny’s Child!!

The video I’m about to show you is one of her latest videos from her last album, 4. As soon as I saw the video, I thought it was cute. It has a lot of Michael Jackson vibe to it.
