The Two Songs

If you know me, you know that I love music beyond anything else. That’s why there are over 40 entries on the music brand (labels)! So to choose only TWO songs is tough for me! I’m going to choose songs that  I absolutely love, but haven’t posted them here yet…

.:Two:.

Whenever this song comes on my mp3 player, I have to put it quite loud to hear all the different instruments. This song makes me smile and in a better mood instantly! This is not her song but Chaka Khan and Rufu‘s song but it is equally as good, even if not better! Erykah Badu is so incredibly talented, I love her voice and music! Another song by her that I absolutely love is  I Want You

.:One:.

Christina Aguilera is one of my favorite singers of my generation! Her second album, Stripped, is one of my favorite albums of all time. Her voice, her music, her words, helped me go through certain situations in my life. That album is so encouraging but it also deals with issues that others may want to stay quiet. This particular song I used to listen to on repeat, even watch  it over and over again.

Tomorrow is the final day, yay! I will post a picture of myself… scary ;). What are some of your favorite songs?

The Three

.:Three:.

I love movies. I love movies that have an impact on me. Lately, I have not been able to watch them for some reason. My concentration span is only so long, for some reason. And yet, I can watch hours and hours of series. Strange, eh? So all of these movies, deserve a spot on this list!

.:Two:.

This movie was THE movie when I was younger. I loved this movie to bits! I still do. I’ve watched it so many times, I know the movie inside and out. I love to watch dance movies, and this particular movie was different. It was first of its own ‘genre’ – and now the movies after copy it in one form or another.

.:One:.

This movie was intriguing the first time I watched it. The second time around, it was even better because I could understand it more!  I am intrigued by the world of dreams. And besides, who doesn’t love a little bit of Leo? ;)

The Four

Since I’ve been neglecting this challenge lately, you’re getting a double dose of the challenge, and getting to know me. Yay! It’s now time for the four… books! I don’t read regularly, I must admit. This was somewhat hard for me to do. Or more that when I read books, I hardly remember what I’ve read. This is a compilation of various books I’ve read over the years…

[Four]

I love the Shopaholic series, I think it’s a hilarious series!

[Three]

This is a Finnish author, called Salla Simukka. She is one of my favorite Finnish authors, there’s something about her books and the way she writes intrigues me. When I was a teenager, her books got me through a period of time that was somewhat rough on me. In fact I’d love to read the following other books by her, but her books are quite rare and hard to find for some reason!

[Two]

This Irish author is very heartwarming to read! I absolutely love and adore her books!

[One]

It was summer of 2011 when I got introduced to Himilce Novas, a beautiful Cuban author. I read the book, Mangos Bananas and Coconuts – a Cuban Love Story (on the right). This was a very intriguing story that really left me thinking afterwards. I would love to read her Princess Papaya book, too!

 So there you have the Four! Only a few more and I’m done with the series! ;-) How have you enjoyed reading these challenge posts? I’m also currently reading Dolores Cannon‘s Between Death & Life - every time I pick up the book to read it again, I feel at ease and so calm. This is such an amazing book about what happens after life. It’s quite interesting to know what she tells, it’s also very easy to read.

 Last but definitely not least…..

The Five

{Five}

{Four}

Spicy Shrimp Fried Rice dish is delicious! I found it at Skinnytaste.com and this has been part of the weekly meals I have – I can never get enough of this delicious meal! I love it!

{Three}

I love oven salmon!

{Two}

If I’m thankful for something of the time I lived in Dutchland, it definitely is the variety of food! The basic Dutch food is quite blend but the food from other countries is even that much more delicious! If you ever get to visit there, I recommend you go and try this beautiful Surinamese dish called Roti, this Roti is kip (chicken) – my favorite kind!

{One}

The other cuisine I learned to love, was Indonesian! I have not tasted anything as versatile as the Indonesian cuisine! On the left, is a sample of nasi goreng - nasi means rice in Indonesian. On the right, is a sample of bami goreng, which means noodles. You have a variety of different dishes but I have no idea what they’re called anymore, all I know is that they were gorgeous!

I love food sooo much, too much! There are so many dishes I want to try, and try to make them too. Not only dinners but also desserts. I used to be very picky as to what I would eat, I’m glad I’m not as picky anymore!
